“Unafraid” by Adam Hamilton

Questions:

What are the things about the Coronavirus situation that worry you most?

When things are more “normal”, what are the things that worry you the most?

Read Numbers 13:17-33.  Why do you think people were more likely to listen to the pessimistic spies than to Caleb? Respond to this question in the comment section below.

Sometimes our visions of a promised land, or of a life or future that we would like to have, can be clouded by our assumptions about the risks or the obstacles.  Can you remember a time when you delayed or chose not to take action because you were worried about what might happen?  Are there things that help you overcome those fears?

During this season, we are trying to keep in mind a verse from Philippians.  “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”  (Philippians 4:6-7, The Message).  What about that verse do you find comforting?  What part of it is challenging to you?
