Food & Essential Needs Drive for Fayette Samaritans | August 9 – August 30

This August, we are putting our faith into action with a buzz of activity! Our summer theme is Let’s “Bee Buzzy”, and we are ready to work together like a vibrant, caring hive to support our local community.

From August 9 through August 30, we are launching a major collection drive to help stock the shelves at Fayette Samaritans. Just as bees work tirelessly to care for their hive, we are coming together to care for our neighbors in need of food, personal care items, and basic essentials.

How to Help Our Hive

It takes the whole swarm to make a difference! Simply grab a few of the high-priority items on the checklist below next time you are at the store, and drop them off in our collection shopping cart by the back door on Sunday mornings or throughout the week.

The “Bee Buzzy” Shopping List

Here are the specific, high-priority items Fayette Samaritans needs most right now to support local families:

🍲 Sweet & Savory Pantry Staples

• Breakfast Cereals
• Pasta Noodles (Any variety) & Pasta Sauce
• Spaghetti-O’s (and similar canned pastas with sauce)
• Mac and Cheese
• Canned Chicken
• Canned Corn
• Canned Beans (pinto, black, baked, etc.)
• Dried Beans (1 lb. bags)
• Rice (1 lb. bags)
• Jelly
• Coffee & Tea

🧼 Personal Care & Baby Essentials

• Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
• Deodorant
• Feminine Products (pads are highly preferred)
• Diapers (specifically Sizes 4, 5, or 6)

🧦 New Clothing Essentials

• Socks (New only, all sizes for men, women, and children)
• Underwear (New only, all sizes for men, women, and children)
