SPECIAL REQUEST FOR PALM SUNDAY!

This Sunday morning, put a branch on the door of your house or on a window to celebrate Palm Sunday. It can be any green branch. We hope this will help our congregation feel connected as we enter into Holy Week. We may be physically isolated, but not separated. We are united as the body of Christ. We are the Church.

If you’re able, take a picture of your branch and post it on Facebook along with “I celebrate Palm Sunday with Fayette Presbyterian Church.”

“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” Philippians 4:6-7 (The Message)

Thank you for continuing to do this. It makes us feel like we’re not alone in this confusing time and shows us that we can still help and comfort others who need it most.

Like these comments but why are times wrong? Was this 4th not 5th?

Have a suggestion. When this is over and we’re able to get together again we should have a combined service that includes all the elements and traditions we are missing waving the palms, singing the hymns, having the special music, wearing Easter clothes, scripture and sermon, maybe even an egg hunt and lunch.

As Alex reminded us in his sermon today…God is always at work and always good!
He also said…Crisis can bring out the best in people. Let us serve others in whatever way we can…. We are hearing many great stories of servanthood! May this Holy Week be one in which we remember what Christ did for us, and what we, in turn, should be doing for others! Love and peace to you all!
