The Words and Objects of Advent. Join us each Sunday of Advent starting on November 28. Gather in the Fellowship Hall at 9:00am for light breakfast food, coffee and juice and our program will begin at 9:15am. We’ll have discussion and activities for all ages, including children. Nursery will be provided.

Hanging of the Greens Worship Service. During worship on November 28, we will learn about the significance of our Advent decorations and help prepare the church for the new season. Adults and children will have an opportunity to decorate the Chrismon tree, discover the meanings of the symbols, and grow in our appreciation of the season.

The Sounds of Christmas, December 12 at 6:00pm. Started by our worship trumpeter Michael Wheeler, this has been an annual tradition at the Summit Church for many years and we’re excited to bring it to all of our Fayette Presbyterian friends and family — a joyful night of jazzy Christmas music, from traditional carols to radio favorites like Santa Bring my Baby Back to Me; all the ones you know and love! Vocals and instrumentation will be performed by various local artists and our own talented FPC folks!

Lessons & Carols, December 19 at 10:30am. Join us for our annual musical advent worship. This year, we will hear a Lessons & Carols service, with scriptures recounting the coming of Christ and songs that reflect the stories and messages. You’ll enjoy our joyful chancel choir and always-talented musicians while learning and re-learning the lessons Christmastime brings.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service, December 24 at 7:00pm. Friends and family are all invited to our annual candlelight Christmas Eve service with communion. Kid-friendly and featuring a children’s story, living nativity, and carol-singing by the soft light of hundreds of candles.
