Home Care Kits for Afghan Refugees

Memorial Drive PC is facilitating a collection of Household Care Kits for Afghan refugees relocating to Georgia and we have been invited to participate. We are asking for complete kits, so you may want to partner with a friend, Circle, Bible Study Class, or Sunday School Class. In the hallway, there is a sample kit and a stack of flyers with an “Items Needed” list (CLICK FOR FLYER PDF). The kits should include one each of these items. Please put the items in a cardboard box and deliver Fayette Presb no later than October 1st. If you have any questions, please contact Glenda Hasty or Pepe Westerfield.

Fayetteville Elementary School

We send 6 volunteers 8am to noon on ROAR Store days to help set up, “sell” the reward items, and clean up at Fayetteville Elementary School. The faculty is so grateful for our help, and the children are excited about shopping at the store.

Two weeks before each opening, there will be sign-up sheets in the main hallway at the church.  There, you will find the exact time the store will be open each day.  We know you have heard all about the Roar Store.  Surely, you will want to come check it out!

2nd Sunday Focus on Fayette Samaritans

We take food donations anytime for Fayette Samaritans, our local food pantry supported solely by local churches and organizations. But on the 2nd Sunday of every month, we put special emphasis on these food donations, filling our shopping cart to help our community! You can find a list of their most needed items here. Please remember Fayette Samaritans every time you grocery shop!

UPDATED for 2020-2021: During the health crisis, we are emphasizing giving to Fayette Samaritans EVERY week. We place our grocery cart outside under the awning outside the kitchen every Saturday morning through Sunday at 12:00pm.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for those in need. If you have any questions, contact Lamar Hasty

Suggested donations:

Canned meats (tuna, chicken, beef stew), canned vegetables, canned fruits, canned soups, instant potatoes, spaghetti sauce, pasta, mac and cheese, cereal, Jiffy corn bread mix, rice, dried beans, canned/bottled Juice, peanut butter, jelly.

Summer Smart Lunch, Smart Kid Program

During the summer months, we prepare lunches for local kids in our community who normally receive free or reduced lunches through the school system. Our members get together one night every week to make sandwiches and prepare nutritious lunches, then the next morning, teams of volunteers deliver to each child.
