Reaching Out into Our Community with a Thanksgiving Feast

Focus 4: Reaching out into the community around the church and minister to our neighbors in need.

We have a great opportunity and blessing to join others in our community as we serve those who struggle with food scarcity. We will be providing 30 Thanksgiving dinners to be delivered on November 17, a week before Thanksgiving.

Each family will receive a frozen 12lb turkey, one box of dressing, one box of mashed potatoes, two cans of corn, two cans of green beans, one can of cranberry sauce, one jar of gravy, one frozen pumpkin pie, and one large disposable pan to cook the turkey in. The approximate cost of all these items is $27-$30, depending on where you shop.

Please locate the sign up sheet in the hallway and
volunteer to help. Gather with friends or family or members of your church family to participate: Sunday School Class, PW Circles, Men of the Church, Choir, Session, Small Groups, Youth, Praise Band, and… You will be able to deliver your dinner to the family itself or you can volunteer to deliver to several families to assist others who are unable to make their delivery.
